Just in time for the festive season, we are revealing the well-kept secret of our homemade mulled wine.

Ingredients:

  • 2 l red wine
  • 4 oranges
  • 1 lemon
  • 400 g sugar
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 3 cloves
  • 3 green cardamom pods
  • ½ vanilla pod
  • 6 allspice berries
  • 2 bags of fruit tea
  • schnapps – as desired

Preparation:

Grate the zest of one lemon and one orange. Juice the lemon and oranges and bring the juice to a boil with the red wine. Add the remaining ingredients, except for the schnapps, and let steep for half an hour. Strain and add schnapps to taste. Serve the aromatic Mesnerhaus mulled wine in festive cups and enjoy the winter atmosphere.
