The Blumentritt Sisters at the Mesnerhaus
On 27 August 2027, we welcome two very special guests to the Mesnerhaus: Christa Hollerer and Ulli Hollerer-Reichl – the legendary innkeeper sisters from „Zum Blumentritt” in the Mariazeller Land.
For almost 30 years, the two sisters ran their country inn in St. Aegyd am Neuwalde, earning 2 Gault&Millau toques and writing culinary history along the way. Head chef Ulli Hollerer-Reichl was responsible for the award-winning, modern and regionally inspired cuisine, while sommelier Christa Hollerer guided guests expertly through a wine cellar of over 350 labels. In October 2025 they closed their beloved house – but their passion for Austrian cooking lives on.
On this summer evening, Ulli and Christa come together with us in Mauterndorf – a reunion of two houses that share more than separates them: a sense of place, warmth, and the deep conviction that great food brings people together.
