An evening that turns everything you think you know about pizza upside down. Our guest is Christoph Hawle – a passionate pizza visionary from Vienna. Not a professional chef, but someone for whom cooking is pure passion. Since 2020 he has immersed himself in the world of pizza, delved deep into Italian cuisine and developed something entirely his own: pizza as a fine dining experience.
His previous pop-ups in Vienna – including a collaboration with the 4-toque Michelin-starred restaurant Herzig and with chef Chris Koller at Winerebellion – sold out completely. No surprise: once you’ve tried a pizza with scallop tartare and truffle, or with Nduja, Stracciatella and balsamic, you’ll never think about pizza the same way again.
Now Christoph brings his ideas to the Lungau for the very first time – together with Josef Steffner and Sebastian at the Mesnerhaus. The result: a 4-course pizza menu featuring truffle, caviar, fish, meat, vegetables and a sweet finale. Humble in origin. Refined in execution. Unforgettable in taste.
